Seaside Consulting
See the rules behind an AI front desk.
This is a transparent walkthrough of the system Seaside configures for local businesses: what it may answer, when it must step aside, what gets captured, and how a person takes over. When you're ready, the consultation request goes through our own intake path to a human.
Inspect the operating model before the software.
A useful front desk starts with approved business knowledge, explicit limits, and a handoff route. The chat, phone, or text interface is added after those decisions are made.
The first conversation is designed before a widget goes live.
We define the approved facts, refusal rules, escalation triggers, and follow-up owner first. That makes the system inspectable, so the business, not the software, defines the process.
“Hi — I'm an AI assistant for this business. I can answer approved questions and help route your request. Please don't share passwords, payment information, medical details, or anything sensitive. Ask for a person at any time.”
It says so
If a question isn't in its approved knowledge, it tells you plainly. It can save your question for the Seaside team, or point you to a person or the intake form. It does not invent answers.
One honest answer
“Pricing depends on the channels, call/message volume, booking setup, and how much management the business needs. The consultation is where Seaside scopes that honestly. I can help you book it.” Pricing is quoted after the consultation.
It hands off to a human
Legal, health, or money questions, emergencies, complaints, anything sensitive, a booking that won't go through — or you simply asking for a person — and it stops and hands the conversation over.
Only what you volunteer
A name, your business, how to reach you, a good time to talk — and only if you want follow-up or a booking. It never asks for passwords, payment details, government ID, medical records, or your customer lists.
Channels are added after the rules are tested.
Website chat, missed-call text-back, then voice when the business needs it
Each channel uses the same approved knowledge and handoff rules, but each introduces different consent, timing, and failure cases. Seaside turns them on only after the business-specific workflow is tested.
We show the rules and the handoffs before we put software near your customers.

How the system works.
Grounded
The AI answers only from approved Seaside business knowledge. It does not improvise, pull from outside sources, or guess.
Captured
What you choose to share — a name, your business, how to reach you — is saved so a person can follow up on your inquiry.
Routed
The request goes to the right person with the context they need. A human confirms the next step instead of leaving the customer in an automation loop.
Reviewed
A human reviews the handoffs and exceptions. That's how the answers get better, and how anything the system shouldn't handle gets caught.
We configure and manage this same system for your business
Seaside builds the website, then sets up and runs the front desk that sits on it as a managed service: website chat, booking, missed-call text-back, review requests, and a simple customer record, so your staff do not have to manage the software.
Your version is built from your verified facts, including your services, hours, and service area. It is tested before launch and then monitored and improved by us on an ongoing basis. Phone and text channels, missed-call text-back, and review automation are switched on only after business-specific setup and compliance work.
For a landscaping company, it can be configured to answer service-area and scheduling questions. For a takeout counter, it can text back the calls that go unanswered during a rush. For an appointment business, it can take bookings directly into the calendar.
Talk to a person.
Use the intake form on our consulting page or the contact page. A person replies within two business days.
